From the recording A Bend in the Light
I wrote "Arrow" with an interest in exploring sounds that are more American folk and American Rock styled. I have always liked the idea that the arrow as a primitive yet precise weapon, and they just seem acoustic and folky to me. I also like that they are sharp, edgy, and fierce. These attitudes and moods were paid mind during creation of the song. A light in the dark, a shot from my heart!

Lyrics
"Arrow"
A fire burns out, there will be no way
Stepping out, only dark, you must be brave
Deep inside, I cannot find
Arrow, ignite and light and no, don’t be late
Tick-tick-tock, it’s all falling away
Eye for an eye, return my sight
Arrow, light and guide the renegade
Struck hard by a drought, the famine can’t be tamed
Mirage clouds the mind, it’s all dripping away
Deep inside there is a light
Arrow, toward the ocean open waves
Another chance to break, another break in the wall
You can see the other side, just don’t dream of the fall
Ignite, fight, light the arrow
Clamor on the rise, they’re up on the hill
They’re gonna cut you down, a sick evil will
Breathe into life the arrow
Arrow, you are my sun
Oh, Arrow
It’s been a long division and I don’t want to look back
This world is double vision and I’m facing the fact
With the fairness gone, in this alone
Up above the fear, above the fall, I’ll make this known
Up above the fear, above the fall, I’ll make this known
Arrow you are my sun
Oh, Arrow
Up above the fear, above the fall, I’ll make this known
Up above the fear, above the fall, I’ll make this known
Up above the fear, above the fall
